What We Do

English Workshop offers high quality, good value English classes to businesses and individuals in the Basque Country. We plan courses and classes which are tailor-made to your needs. We use a range of EFL material and we work hard to ensure that our classes are engaging, enjoyable, professional and relevant. Have a look below to see what we offer. If you are looking for something more specific, just ask. We will probably be able to help.

Summer Courses

Our Summer courses are for adolescents aged 11 to 17 years old. The courses run at Christ's Hospital School, Horsham in July and August and are for 13 nights.

Here are 10 fantastic reasons to send your child with us so that they can learn, practise and improve their English in the UK:

  • 1. The courses are internationally mixed, with adolescents from Austria, Japan, China, Russia, France, Italy and Spain.
  • 2. All of the English teachers are CELTA qualified.
  • 3. The course providers are accredited by the British Council and are members of English UK.
  • 4. All of the activity leaders and sports coaches are native English speakers.
  • 5. English Workshop groups are accompanied by a responsible monitor, who will be with the students throughout their time in the UK.
  • 6. English Workshop groups are limited to 15 students to help us ensure the safety, well-being and happiness of your child during their time in the UK.
  • 7. There are 27 hours of professional, engaging and fun English lessons in classes of a maximum of 15 students.
  • 8. There are excursions to London, Brighton, Oxford and Horsham.
  • 9. There are lots of fun activities and sports for your child to get involved in, including swimming, tennis, football, volleyball, quizzes, discos, competitions, arts & crafts, karaoke and many more.
  • 10. The school is a beautiful building located in the English countryside, just 1 hour from London.

  • If you would like more information about the courses, dates and prices, please send us a message.

Cultural School Trips

English Workshop organises fun, educational and cultural trips in the UK for schools and colleges.

Here are 5 reasons why you should let us organise your school trip to the UK.

  • 1. Our trip organisers are responsible people with experience and local knowledge.
  • 2. Our trips can be organised for any duration and for any time of the year.
  • 3. Our trips are tailor-made to suit the needs of each group we work with.
  • 4. We deal with all the elements of the trip in the UK and can assist with travel insurance, flights.
  • 5. We work hard to ensure that you and your group have a fantastic, unforgettable experience.

Here is an example of a 4 day trip to London we did with a group of Spanish students in April 2011. The accommodation and most of the meals were at a traditional private school in the countryside, just 1 hour from the centre of London by train.

  • Day 1 – Fly to the UK. Arrival and settle in to the accommodation. Dinner at the school.
  • Day 2 – Breakfast and dinner at the school. Full day excursion to Brighton (including a walking tour of the city, a traditional lunch of fish and chips, and free time).
  • Day 3 – Breakfast at the school. Full day excursion to London (including a walking tour of the city to see Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, a special 'Jack-the-Ripper' guided tour, a typical pub dinner, and free time).
  • Day 4 – Breakfast at the school. Half-day excursion to Arundel (including entry into Arundel Castle, a short country walk, and free time). Return to Madrid.

If you are interested in organising a trip to the UK for your school, college or organisation, don't hesitate to get in touch.
